A geometric series has first term 1 and the common ratio r is positive.
The sum of the first 5 terms of a G.P. is twice the sum of the terms from the
6th to the 15th inclusive.
Show that r^5(r to the power of 5) = 1/2(√3-1)

2(a+ar+ar^2+ar^3+ar^4+ar^5+ar^6+ar^7+ar^8+ar^9+ar^10+ar^11+ar^12+ar^13+ar^14)

a=1

(1+r+r^2+r^3+r^4) =
2(r^5+r^6+r^7+r^8+r^9+r^10+r^11+r^12+r^13+r^14)
(1+r+r^2+r^3+r^4) =
2[r^5(1+r+r^2+r^3+r^4)+r^10(1+r+r^2+r^3+r^4)]

1=2r^5+2r^10
2r^10+2r^5-1=0
Let d = r^5
Then 2d^2+2d-1=0
Using Quadratic Formula
because r is positive

therefore
d=[-2+√(2)^2-4(2)(-1)]/2(2)
=(-2+√12)/4
=[-2+(√4.√3)]/4
=(-2+2√3)/4
=(-1+√3)/2
=1/2(√3-1)

d=r^5
Thus, r^5 = 1/2(√3-1) ....shown

my school has a monthly test
haha~got study la ,but worry later forget in the exam
then very 'cham'
today i will take all my thing go to my xiao jiu house
then tomorrow live with him and my grandma
as his house near my school
easy for me to go school
erm ~ don know after go there whether can study or not...

because my xiao jiu house gt astro n two computer ...lll
can't control myself to think it nothing
i wan watch tv show n play computer game ...lolz~
no~hope god can bless me to study well at a new situation^^

today no study but still go school (today our school have 'anugerah raptai ')
only 10 Beta students came school
ha ha~didn't open book to study also ...
just chit-chat with my friends ...
lucky have learn some chemistry thing la ~
when Winnie told me that the langkawi guys already finished study chemistry chapter 5 ,
i felt ...wah~so fast leh (i hav to follow up them if not i will lose them)
my classmates all very diligent one ...
haiz~sometime feel worry and scary because cant accept it exactly , ha ha
but it was a force to push me study well , if not ' mati tong kiao ' lo
^^tomorrow is anugerah day,so no need to go school ,haha~happy

3-3 basketball competition at KSAH

when i reached school , 7.45am already
wait my partner coming...
haha~
even though our team not very good , we still hav our strategi to manage everything
1st time play 3-3 at other school then get 3rd^^
haha~BETA (our team name) boleh
erm ~of course i will join basketball club(my favorite sport)
win win win ,huhu~^^

Friday 10/7

today wake up early
erm~don know y suddenly feel so touch...
now all my friends study at outside (TARC,Poli,Maktab)
and don know when we can gather again(maybe CNY)...

i know this moment will coming soon since i was form 5
but just can not suddenly accept it now
hope my friends can study well and build up their own journey in the future
(eddy will always support u)


1st:
since we are form 4 ,every form Chinese student very await our performance for Chinese society
lucky we done it very well even that was a small quarrel
we organised 大集会、三人篮球赛、硬笔、下棋、Pendang School Idol、叙别会
all of this were my best sweet memories
=i just wan to say sorry to u all bcs my bad attitude
i always wan u all follow my step and neglect ur feeling=

2nd
form 5 -4/12/2008
we had a big gathering at sentosa
all of us played very siok
singing , kidding , take picture and ...
played bowling at Star Parade

3rd
this year CNY we also had gathering
.gambling until morning
haha~1st time
.chatting our future , PLKN thing n also wan to won money lo ^^
.watch movie (that was a record i watch 4 movies during CNY)crazy but happy
.take a lot of angpow...huhu~

KSAH-my new school

Today is my 3rd day study at Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid (KSAH)...^^
have new friends,ha ha
even though it was only 3 days , SMKP can't figth with KSAH
1st ~All Teacher at KSAH use English to teach even the Pengajian Am teacher
2nd ~Teacher teach with understanding ( i not said all SMKP form 6 teacher ,but somebody la...)
3rd ~no SDS ( SDS at SMKP just wasting student's time only = useless )

My class name = Beta
only have 9 boys
many girls
(most of them are Chinese)

KSAH is a good school and great situation for me to learn and speak English
i think the most important is
all of them are diligent and it may affect me to hard work too
(don wan to be the last at exam , but NOW still don wan to study ==)

Today is the 1st time i chat with the boys even 3 days already i study at there...==(maybe i sit at back and they sit at front then no time to introduce each other)
this Saturday has 3-3 basketball competition at my new school
same team with my classmate (Jun n Chong)
hope this is the chance for us to build up our friendship^^
